A Holistic Approach to AI

During the day, it became clear that AI is not only a technological issue, but also a cultural, organizational and human issue. Participants discussed how AI can be used to improve the lives of people and organizations, always keeping the human being at the center.

The discussion touched on various aspects of AI, from its application in the financial sector to the need for a more conscious and responsible approach. The speakers shared their experiences and visions, offering food for thought and discussion.

BlueIT's vision

Girolamo Marazzi, CEO and founder of BlueIT, outlined the company's vision, stressing the importance of ethics, innovation and sustainability. He also presented the 18th century farmhouse where the event was held as an experiential laboratory where companies can experiment with AI in controlled and safe environments.

“Ethics, innovation and sustainability are not marketing words, but for us they are the three guidelines that guide our every decision”, said Marazzi. “We wanted to create a space where innovation can be touched, where you can make mistakes and learn quickly. Because artificial intelligence only works if it becomes a living part of the organization”.

Significant interventions

Among the most significant interventions, Roberta Bavaro from IBM spoke of the importance of trust in the AI ecosystem, stressing that every technological revolution stems from an act of mutual trust.

Carlo Alberto Carnevale-Maffè of Bocconi University, on the other hand, emphasized that AI has become a new productive infrastructure, comparable to electricity and the Internet. “Artificial intelligence is no longer a laboratory, but a new production infrastructure”, he said. “Those who do not integrate it into their processes risk being cut off from the market”.

Other speakers explored different aspects of AI, from its application in the financial sector to the need for a more conscious and responsible approach. Massimo Folador by Askesis spoke of the importance of ethics in technological innovation, while Janae Bennett IBM emphasized the need for open, transparent and shared AI.

Next steps

BlueIT continues to work to promote technological innovation and responsibility in the use of AI. The next step will be the recording of a special stream at RAI studios in Milan, which will be broadcast on November 25. The event will be moderated by Francesco Marino and will see the participation of IBM, experts and leaders in the sector.
