In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, where global investments in artificial intelligence are expected to reach more than 500 billion dollars by 2024, companies increasingly recognize the imperative to adopt AI-driven solutions to maintain competitive advantage. It is in this context that BlueIT S.p.A. Benefit Company, in collaboration with IBM, Computer Gross, the Department of Computer Science of the University of Milan and M&IT Consulting, is proud to present the project AI Accelerator, an ambitious program for the development of artificial intelligence solutions for businesses. This innovative initiative aims to make the adoption of IT solutions and services easily available thanks to generative artificial intelligence, representing a significant step towards realizing our mission to improve society through advanced and sustainable technological solutions. Based on IBM watsonx technology, the AI Accelerator offers a structured and collaborative methodology, supported by experimental laboratories and an extended community, to implement AI solutions more effectively and quickly.

The AI Accelerator is comprised of four fundamental pillars:

  1. Structured Methodology: we help customers to identify and structure their problems (use cases) in a rigorous way. The process begins with a brainstorming to identify technological problems and solutions, followed by a proof of the value of the AI (Proof of Value) solution to demonstrate the effectiveness of the technology.
  2. Experimental Laboratory: a laboratory in which to experiment with technology in real situations, evaluating the benefits and refining the solutions.
  3. Collaborative Community: a community to share knowledge and resources. Partners, suppliers, customers and universities can collaborate together with BlueIT, exponentially expanding the technological resources and use cases available.
  4. Space Dedicated to Innovation: an immersive environment in an old converted farmhouse, where customers can touch technological solutions, live an immersive experience and participate in brainstorming in a serene and stimulating environment.

Girolamo Marazzi, Sole Director of BlueIT S.p.a Benefit Company: “We are thrilled to present the AI Accelerator, a project that not only marks an important step forward for BlueIT, but also represents an extraordinary opportunity for Italian companies to enter the future of artificial intelligence. This project embodies our vision of responsible and sustainable innovation, and we are convinced that it will have a significant positive impact on our customers' strategies and operations.”

Alessandro La Volpe, Chief Executive Officer of IBM Italy:”Today, companies need Artificial Intelligence that is designed and developed for their needs, that allows the scalability and consumption of strictly necessary resources, as well as helps them to face business challenges by deriving value from the most important resource: business data. This is why we warmly welcome the BlueIT initiative, which fully embraces our approach: using watsonx, IBM's AI platform for the collaborative and open development of specific solutions for businesses. It is our conviction that the AI Accelerator program, thanks to the expertise and experience of all the actors involved, will bring concrete and measurable benefits to companies, allowing them to respond to market demands with greater confidence and capacity.”

Paolo Castellacci, President of Computer Gross: “The partnership with BlueIT, which represents excellence in Italy for IBM solutions, is now consolidated and has its roots in the sharing of priorities and objectives. Artificial intelligence, especially in its generative form, is changing business, work and collaboration logic very quickly. In this scenario, the role of the ecosystem and skills are in fact increasingly important. When, like Computer Gross, we announced the Competence Center dedicated to IBM watsonx, BlueIT was among the first companies to join, embracing the program and fully embracing its values. For this reason, I believe that the AI Accelerator initiative fits perfectly into the current context of innovation and technological development and represents another significant step in BlueIT's journey on the subject of AI.”

Sabrina Gaito, President of the Computer Science Teaching Board of the University of Milan: “We consider it strategic to activate AI laboratories in synergy with companies, both as a training tool and as a means to promote industrial research and development collaborations.”

Mauro Nolli/Pier Simone Ghislieri Marazzi, respectively President and CEO of M&IT Consulting:”As part of the consolidated collaboration between BlueIT and M&IT Consulting, the AI Accelerator project represents the point of excellence and operation necessary to successfully support the implementation of artificial intelligence in our client companies, who increasingly ask us to share use cases together with the ability to see the processes and to choose suitable organizational and technological solutions.”

BlueIT invites all interested companies to discover the potential of its new artificial intelligence platform and to join us on the path to responsible innovation. More details on the project and how to collaborate will be presented during the official launch event.”AI Accelerator: an accelerator of ideas”, which will be held on October 1, 2024 in Torlino Vimercati.
